INDUS provides industrial support services across the Undersea Weapons Department (Code 30), Test and Evaluation Department (Code 20), Undersea Systems & Sustainment Department (Code 40) and Unmanned and Theater Undersea Warfare Systems Department (Code 50), of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport (NUWCDIVKPT). Requirements include providing technical support services associated with various industrial operations, depot repair activities, and torpedo intermediate maintenance functions. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Jr. Logistician Support will be responsible for packing and wrapping inbound/outbound assets and updating logistics databases with current information on the NUWCDIVKPT Industrial Support Services (ISS) contract. This position is located in Keyport, WA. The incumbent directly reports to a Task Lead or the ISS Deputy Program Manager. The Program Manager reserves the right to reorganize reporting structures. The PM reserves the right to assign logisticians for 3-6 month cross-training rotations to any other area for logistician support roles in the ISS contract. This position works a specific shift: Daytime shift (schedule TBD pending government direction); possible swing shift may be required to meet emergent needs (swing shift differential provided). What You'll Do Responsibilities range include but are not limited to from packing and wrapping inbound and outbound assets, to updating logistics databases, tracking via the Navy’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application, purchasing, inventory, HAZMAT coordination, with current information, and material handling. Leads in this area include all the job functions for logistics support, as well as provide training, obtaining system access, identifying job expectations, workload assignment, tracking training and qualifications, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure procedures are intensely followed in associated task areas. Provide feedback on defective procedures. Adopt ‘train as you fight, fight as you train’ culture where audits are an opportunity to showcase excellence. Provide input to Task Area Lead(s) for the ISS Best Practices body of knowledge.Be ready to cross-train across any Logistics area in the ISS Contract including but not limited to Torpedo Depot and Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) for 3-6-month rotations. Rotation assignment is at the discretion of the coordinating Task Leads, the Deputy PM, and the PM. Shift: Daytime (work schedule at government direction); possible swing shift required to meet emergent needs. Swing shift differential provided.. Must accept swing shift if asked. Other duties as assigned.
