IND US provides industrial support services across the Undersea Weapons Department (Code 30), Test and Evaluation Department (Code 20), Undersea Systems & Sustainment Department (Code 40) and Unmanned and Theater Undersea Warfare Systems Department (Code 50), of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport (NUWCDIVKPT). Requirements include providing technical support services associated with various industrial operations, depot repair activities, and torpedo intermediate maintenance functions. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Jr. Logistician Support II will be responsible for packing and wrapping inbound/outbound assets and updating logistics databases with current information on the NUWCDIVKPT Industrial Support Services (ISS) contract. This position is located in Keyport, WA. This position works a specific shift: Daytime shift (schedule TBD pending government direction); possible swing shift may be required to meet emergent needs (swing shift differential provided).

Requirements

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • At least three (3) years of experience within industrial logistics support.
  • Must be able to work a swing shift as required to support operational needs.
  • Working level knowledge of Navy acquisition, Navy Supply, and ERP processes and documents.
  • Your ability to receive medical certification (if required).
  • Your ability to obtain and maintain any appropriate licenses and certifications (if required).
  • Must be able to comprehend and execute written and verbal trainings and procedures.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to follow and complete web-based training modules and other on-the-job training as required.
  • Must complete INDOC training , including a mandatory two-week education and familiarization course with a follow-on comprehension test for positions within the Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) and Torpedo Depot.
  • Must complete additional QUALS training specific to Logistics Technician/Logistician skillsets.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to develop Program Office acquisition lifecycle plans (Life Cycle Sustainment Plans – LCSP) is desired.
  • Prior experience as a technical writer, including development of maintenance and test procedures is desired.
  • Working knowledge of supply, procurement, material movement, stocking, inventory management, and the Navy supply system is desired.
  • Experience interfacing and coordinating with military personnel is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform logistics support functions, including packing and wrapping inbound and outbound assets and maintaining accurate, up-to-date entries in logistics databases.
  • Lead logistics activities by training team members, obtaining system access, defining job expectations, assigning workloads, tracking training and qualifications, and providing coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensure established procedures are followed within assigned task areas and provide feedback on procedural deficiencies or improvement opportunities.
  • Provide input to Task Area Lead(s) to support consistency, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
  • Cross train across Logistics areas within the ISS Contract, including (but not limited to) Torpedo Depot and Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA), through 3–6-month rotations as directed by Task Leads, the Deputy Program Manager, and the Program Manager.
  • Provide bid and proposal support, if requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
