About The Position
Roosevelt Jr. High is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students in our Structured Learning Classroom (SLC) . The ideal candidate will assist the classroom teacher in providing individualized instruction, behavior support, and daily living skills to students with special needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- associate’s degree or higher preferred
- Experience working with students with disabilities is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support students’ academic and functional learning under teacher direction
- Assist with classroom management and student supervision
- Help implement IEP goals and accommodations
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to support student success
