About The Position
NCA is a Christian School serving grades Jr.K-12. All qualifying candidates must support the mission statement: "New Covenant Academy is a Christian School committed to achieving Academic Excellence, teaching Biblical Truth, and developing Christ-like character." New Covenant Academy is seeking qualified candidates, for a full-time Jr. High Math Teacher (7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra) beginning in August 2025 to May 2026. (Employment agreement renewable annually pending board approval.) The role of the teacher is to engage and inspire students to learn the subject matter and impart skills and attitudes that will positively contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women. The teacher will integrate Biblical principles throughout the curriculum, and plan and implement a course of study to meet the individual needs of students, prepare lesson plans, and assess student progress while demonstrating their own mastery of the subject matter taught. The teacher must also communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, students, administration, and faculty for the success of each student.
Requirements
- Valid Missouri (or from another state within the U.S.) Teaching Certificate
- Appropriate endorsement in the areas of instruction
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in the area of teaching
- Christian testimony reflected in a daily walk that exemplifies the Christian faith
- Demonstrate evidence of regeneration and dedication to the cause of Christ
- Expressed desire (call) to work in a Christian school
