About The Position

Knowledge Management, Inc. is seeking a Jr. Full Stack Developer to support the development and maintenance of our secure, mission-critical web applications. This role will focus on assisting in the implementation of both frontend and backend components, with an emphasis on learning and growing within the Java, Spring Boot, and AWS Bedrock ecosystem.

Requirements

• Experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a solid portfolio of delivered projects.
• Basic experience or a strong academic background in full-stack development.
• Familiarity with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on delivering high-quality, secure solutions.
• MUST HAVE IRS OR US TREASURY EXPERIENCE
• Active US Treasury Public Trust preferred. Anyone with an active DOD clearance, would be processed for a Tier 4 Public Trust.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of AWS Bedrock and its integration with applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Interest in learning containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of full-stack applications, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend components.
• Contribute to the implementation of RESTful APIs using Java and the Spring Boot framework under the guidance of senior developers.
• Support the integration of AWS Bedrock to leverage foundation models and enhance application capabilities.
• Assist in designing and implementing relational database schemas and queries to support application functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.
