About The Position

The Junior Estimator supports our Preconstruction and Project Management teams by contributing to the preparation of accurate, well-organized, and competitive estimates for high-end residential construction projects. This role is an excellent opportunity for a younger professional or recent graduate who demonstrates potential, drive, and a desire to grow within a dynamic and high-performing team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with residential construction preferred; internship or entry-level field experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software, Bluebeam, or Procore is a bonus.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong math, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Clear communicator who works well in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in person at our McKinney office and visit DFW-area job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing conceptual and detailed cost estimates for custom residential projects.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for labor and materials using construction drawings and specs.
  • Collect and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, scope documents, and budget breakdowns.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents for real-time pricing support.
  • Participate in project walk-throughs, subcontractor meetings, and design reviews.
  • Contribute to and help maintain historical pricing databases.
  • Show strong initiative, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.
