About The Position

Systems Engineering at Advanced Bionics is about understanding requirements, architecting, analyzing through suitable techniques, specifying, conducting feasibility studies and staying involved in the project through the course of integration. Systems engineering is a central role that spans the lifecycle of product development from requirements gathering to manufacturing transfer and post-market surveillance. In addition to having an area of strong technical competence, the ideal candidate will also be a good communicator and develop a deep sense of market needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on technical ability in at least two or more of the following: Analog circuits, digital circuits, FPGA platforms, embedded systems, DSP, RF, Control System, ASICs.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Engineering Software (MATLAB, Python etc.).
  • A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Certification (such as INCOSE) demonstrating Systems Engineering skills.
  • 2+ years of academic or healthcare industry work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Project Management, and R&D teams to translate requirements into product specifications.
  • Apply system-level thinking to evaluate tradeoffs across features, schedules, cost, complexity, risk, and usability.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and propose solutions within technical expertise, including modeling and implementation using appropriate tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Firmware, Software, Mechanical) to support product development and system integration.
  • Contribute to future product and system architecture definition with awareness of market needs.
  • Develop broad product knowledge while specializing in designated technical areas.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot field and development issues through experimentation and root-cause analysis.
  • Document work thoroughly and share knowledge to support team learning and onboarding.
  • Other duties as assigned.
