About The Position
This position requires a candidate to have a High School Diploma or GED along with 2 years of relevant technical experience, or an Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or a related field. The role involves a thorough understanding of DC electricity and basic knowledge of AC electricity, as well as the ability to read electrical schematics. Proficiency in using laptop computers and familiarity with digital multi-meters and other testing equipment is essential. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and installing new instrumentation and controls for natural gas equipment, and must qualify and advance through career path training to the Electrical Technician title in Gas Operations within twelve months of accepting the position. Further advancement to the Senior Electrical Technician title is expected within twelve months of achieving the Electrician Technician title.
