About The Position
The Jr Designer position at Simon & Schuster involves assisting the Executive Art Director and other design staff while developing design skills and knowledge. The role includes designing up to 35 unique books annually across various formats, collaborating with editors and licensors, conceptualizing cover ideas, commissioning art, and executing designs for both covers and interiors. The position also requires working closely with the Production team through the proofing process and color correction to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
