The Jr. Design Engineer position at Albireo Energy involves assisting in the operation of the department, focusing on building automation systems for large commercial buildings, data centers, and educational facilities.   • Assist in the operation of the department and perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Spend a minimum of 3 months in the field gaining hands-on experience by assisting with project installations.
  • Design building automation systems for large commercial office buildings, data centers, and educational facilities.
  • Participate in sales turnover meetings to receive project mechanical drawings, specifications, and details from the sales team.
  • Apply appropriate equipment and end devices to provide cost-effective solutions to meet project specifications.
  • Support the preparation of a complete engineering package including network diagrams, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and equipment submittals.
  • Provide technical support for the sales team, installation, commissioning team, and service division.
  • Assist Project Manager(s) in ordering required products and equipment for projects.
  • Visit sites for field engineering building automation retrofits and upgrades or new construction quality control inspections.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met and drive continuous improvements.
  • Support a culture of open dialogue and high performance in safety and business aspects.
  • Equivalent experience or a Bachelor's of Science in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial HVAC applications and ability to read MEP drawings and specifications is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; high-quality document and report preparation.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.
