About The Position

Axos is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic Commercial Analytics team. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting and financial concepts, and the ability to work independently and manage priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field and. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will work closely with senior analysts and other team members to support data-driven decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in SQL, Tableau, Python, and Excel
• Knowledge of financial statements, compliance, and reporting

Nice To Haves

• Education and/or work experience in Accounting is a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Banking industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform data mining and deliver business intelligence reporting using SQL, SSRS, Tableau, and Excel
• Analyze and interpret full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting deliverables
• Analyze historical data and prepare biweekly forecasts of non-interest income and operating expenses
• Utilize the Bank’s systems to create reports to manage the assets that require special attention and monitoring
• Assist with data architecture management, system-to-system management, data integration, data investigation, and data integrity initiatives
• Perform other projects, support, and duties as assigned by management
