About The Position

We are seeking an analytical and motivated Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Network Security – CISO team. This position plays a key role in supporting HCN’s cybersecurity operations, assisting with the coordination, monitoring, and delivery of security initiatives across our partner health centers. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about protecting organizational systems and data. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in network security, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity operations under the guidance of senior professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent training, certifications, and experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or a related technical role (internships and academic projects accepted).
  • Foundational knowledge of firewalls, SIEM tools, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and vulnerability scanning.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, HIPAA).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow under the direction of senior cybersecurity professionals.
  • Entry-level certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft SC-900, or AZ-900).

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools or SIEM platforms.
  • Prior exposure to healthcare IT environments or HIPAA compliance.
  • Technical writing or documentation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating with security technology vendors to support the proposal, execution, and delivery of HCN’s CISO services.
  • Participate in customer engagements, including monthly or recurring security meetings with partner health centers, to review findings, document action items, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support the onboarding of new engagements by gathering customer requirements, documenting needs, and coordinating with senior team members to ensure proper service delivery.
  • Assist in vulnerability management efforts by monitoring systems, escalating findings, and tracking remediation progress.
  • Provide support for basic network and security troubleshooting under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Contribute to security risk assessments and assist in documenting and addressing findings from a network security perspective.
