As a Jr. Copywriter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining Dermstore's brand voice, driving content development and reinforcing education as a brand pillar. You will support creative content strategy, product narratives, brand storytelling and voice through Dermstore integrated campaigns and always-on programming for paid and owned marketing channels. You will execute a strong editorial POV for integrated campaigns and help define and uphold Dermstore's distinct voice and authority at every consumer touchpoint. The role requires a creative, strategic and collaborative mindset paired with a multi-disciplinary mastery of creative formats, storytelling devices and precise attention to detail and tone. Your goal will be to launch and support a renewed editorial culture and ecosystem, bringing brand and product stories to market in effective, creative and authentic ways.

  • Write clear, concise copy for various channels, including email, site, product descriptions, promotional materials, UI/UX and more, upholding brand voice guidelines while adjusting tone for channel, asset or campaign.
  • Support Dermstore's overall editorial strategy in alignment with company goals, intersecting consumer insights, business trends and Buying priorities to create marketing campaign narratives.
  • Help maintain the brand editorial calendar to ensure company-wide awareness of seasonal stories and timely and consistent content publication, working closely with brand and cross-functional teams to integrate editorial priorities into all communications and marketing strategies.
  • Execute brand and product storytelling franchises to drive consumer engagement and provide scalable templates for ongoing content production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, create, curate and implement a wide range of content, including videos, paid and organic social posts, blog articles, email marketing and e-commerce site copy.
  • Work closely with Brand & Campaigns teams to deliver integrated marketing assets that deliver to brief, on time, across all channels.
  • Develop and refine Brand's tone, messaging and voice across all channels and oversee copywriting and messaging to ensure copy is tailored and optimized for each channel.
  • Help evolve the blog to deliver on a key brand pillar —education — as well as business objectives in driving organic traffic and conversion.
  • 2 - 4 years in copywriting or editorial position
  • Proven success supporting multi-discipline integrated marketing creative and creating storytelling assets across digital media and video as well as traditional and print media
  • Strong and decisive editing skills necessary, with ability to line-edit, story-edit, visually edit, sense check copy and edit messaging hierarchy in a visual context
  • Experience with ecommerce marketing channels
  • Experience with narrative video storyboards and scripts a plus
  • Knowledge of beauty and skincare trends and storytelling a big plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation skills
  • Comfort in situations with ambiguity and complexity
  • Agile multitasker who can shift task to task and keep workstreams organized
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive problem-solver with strong decision-making capability

  • Salary: $67,500 - $72,500
  • Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in-office; 2 day WFH
