About The Position

The Jr. Asset Manager will play a critical role in managing and analyzing Sage Ventures' rental property investments, with specific emphasis on reporting and analysis. This role involves regular collaboration with upper management, the finance department, and operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of the asset life cycle to ensure operational excellence and bottom-line optimization. To achieve this, close collaboration with the OPS team, including site visits, will be required to ensure alignment between OPS operations and Asset goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, or a related analytical role (internship experience considered).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
Understanding of real estate financial concepts such as NOI, CAPEX, and budget variance analysis.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Yardi or other property management/accounting software.

Responsibilities

Track underwriting goals and KPIs, align budgets and capital plans with asset strategies, and collaborate on renovations and cost optimization.
Oversee Month End Review (MER), manage utility billbacks via YES Energy, and process monthly lease renewals.
Support lender reporting (financials, green loan compliance, etc).
Assist with investor distributions and quarterly analysis.
Coordinate SWOT.
Contribute to budget prep and review, coordinate with operations for alignment, and support long-term capital planning.
Prepare executive presentations, maintain documentation and SOPs, assist with insurance and tax matters, and handle ad hoc projects.
