Leidos is currently seeking a junior-level Aerospace Engineer to provide an immediate contribution to an existing customer effort. This position will work closely with more senior engineers and customer personnel to provide data analysis and to conduct system device and capability performance trending. In addition, this position will keep abreast of technological advances relevant to customer systems and recommend improvements based on the state of the art. The successful candidate will: Influence development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals Recommend and develop new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of functions strategy and operations Assist in the works of other technical staff that has significant impact on project results/outputs Resolve highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation Develop solutions that are highly innovative, and achieved through research and integration of best practice Come break things (in a good way).   • BS in Aerospace Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience, or MS in Aerospace Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++), analysis tools and concepts, and Modeling & Simulation tools (e.g., STK)
  • Ability to integrate and test sensor systems
  • Ability to perform modeling and simulation analyses to demonstrate system performance and operational utility
  • Ability to develop tools to track and trend system performance, collect and extract system data, and maintain system performance database
  • Demonstrated strong writing and briefing skills to with the ability to coherently communicate highly complex technical information to senior customer personnel in an engaging manner
  • No clearance required, but must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS//SCI with Polygraph
