About The Position

We are seeking a licensed Journeyperson Electrician, providing expert electrical services across our various industrial uranium mining and processing operations. This role supports plant facilities, wellfield operations, motor control centers (MCCs), booster stations, and administrative buildings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), schematics, and blueprint reading. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including new installations, renovations, and maintenance, utilizing a wide range of electrical tools and techniques. Candidates should have a solid background in low and high voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low voltage wiring, ensuring safe and efficient electrical operations on-site.

Requirements

  • Current and valid TDLR Journeyman Electrician License
  • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics, blueprint reading, and electrical theory.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor controls, VFDs, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics interpretation.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing equipment
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial site experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on complex electrical installations or repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in troubleshooting electrical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Install, replace, and test wiring for electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage automation systems
  • Perform safe wiring and termination of low and high voltage circuits
  • Test, replace, and troubleshoot: 480V motors Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Soft starts Switchgear components (fuses, indicator lights) Control transformers
  • Connect and disconnect motors
  • Install and troubleshoot pump panels
  • Perform preventive maintenance on: Switchgear and control panels Electric motors MCC buildings and booster stations
  • Inspect overhead/high lines for defects to prevent major failure
  • Replace lighting in office areas, plant operations, and wellfield locations
  • Troubleshoot HVAC electrical systems
  • Replace capacitors and control panels for freshwater wells
  • Thread and install Rigid Metal Conduit (RMC) and PVC-coated RMC
  • Conduct grounding inspections on tools and cords
  • Maintain detailed documentation of completed work
  • Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations, NEC codes, and company safety standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
