About The Position
The Penhall Company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Journeyman to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This position is crucial for our operations, as it involves working on various construction projects where precision and safety are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a construction job site environment, although we are willing to train qualified applicants who demonstrate the right attitude and work ethic. The role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety rules and regulations, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team that includes foremen, superintendents, drivers, operators, and other skilled laborers. As a Journeyman at Penhall, you will be expected to maintain a stable work history, with a preference for candidates who have two or more years of continuous employment with the same employer. Verifiable previous employment is essential, and candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check covering the last seven years. A valid driver's license and a good driving history are also required, as reliable transportation is necessary for commuting to job sites. The position may require working days, nights, weekends, or out of town, depending on project needs. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and possess steel toe leather work boots. The role demands physical stamina, as you will be required to lift and move 45 pounds or more and work in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, and rainy environments. A mathematical aptitude is helpful, as training will be provided for measurements and calculations necessary for the job.
