As a Journeyman Tuckpointer, you will skillfully and safely perform work scopes required in the specialty trade of exterior building repair and concrete restoration. This role involves traveling throughout the territory to assigned projects, maintaining your own supply of hand tools associated with the trade, and operating a variety of power tools including high-speed grinders and impact hammers. You will be expected to understand and follow MCR and OSHA safety policies and applicable laws, achieving production rates and quality standards as set forth by the industry and MCR. The position requires working at heights from various scaffolding, lifts, and rooftops, and you must be competent in the erection and rigging of scaffolding and staging equipment. Accurate measurement using a measuring tape to the nearest fraction of an inch is essential, as is possessing knowledge of acids, detergents, and other trade-related chemicals. Your experience should include a range of tasks such as mixing mortars for historic building repairs, mortar removal, tuckpointing, brick and stone work, sealant removal, and various masonry and concrete restoration activities.
