About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Machine shop experience preferred
• Journeyman Tool and Die or Mold Maker card required
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Good math skills (Geometry/Trigonometry)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to perform the duties of Machinist and Welder

Responsibilities

• Set up and run parts in the machines
• Verify parts against prints during and after production
• Qualify parts during running and after completion
• Set up tooling required for each operation
• Repair breakouts and die cast tooling issues in die cast machines
• Break down and complete preventive maintenance on units and dies as they cycle through
• Mentor apprentices throughout their apprenticeship program
• Troubleshoot all equipment on the plant floor
• Perform hand grinding after welding
• Transfer information between shifts
• Read and complete work orders
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor
