About The Position

Knights Flooring Inc is seeking Journeyman Tile Setters, Apprentices, and Helpers to join their team. Requirements

• 1 year of construction experience.
• 1 year of tile installation experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 or more pounds.
• Knowledge of using power and hand tools for tile installation.

Nice To Haves

• Prior construction experience for apprentices or helpers.

Responsibilities

• Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and in tight corners.
• Use screeds, brushes, and trowels to create tile beds from various materials.
• Align and straighten tiles using straightedges, levels, and squares.
• Install, polish, and surface granite and marble with precision.
• Prepare surfaces for tiling using waterproofing materials and thorough cleaning.
• Install mosaic tiles in various settings to create decorative designs.
• Tap tiles into place to ensure adherence and prevent damage.
• Follow plans and accurately measure surfaces for tiling.
