Dealership: Castle Chevrolet Cadillac GMC; Location : McHenry, Illinois Our service team is hiring a GM Journeyman Technician to join us. As a Journeyman Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. You'll work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. You will test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. In your role as a Technician, you'll collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide the most accurate information for the customer. Requirements

  • Previous experience as a journeyman, service technician, or mechanic
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • ASE Certification required with A-level qualifications
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teamwork mentality and ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities
