Christman Facility Solutions is looking for a Journeyman Service Plumber in our Mesquite, Texas region. What You Will Do: As a Journeyman Service Plumber, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Leads crews in safe work habits to comply with all company policies and procedures, and counsels if necessary with assistance from Mechanical Superintendent. Supervises and attends weekly safety meetings. Communicates daily with Mechanical Superintendent to ensure jobs are progressing to meet schedule. Attends scheduled jobsite progress meetings and state inspections. Updates and maintains as built drawings on all jobs. Follows up on subordinates to ensure jobs are completed per plans and specs. Makes sure all penetrations are sealed correctly with the proper fire caulk for walls and floors. Makes sure that work crews are at scheduled work sites on time and prepared to work. Guides crews to ensure time sheets are turned in on time and accurately. Schedules city inspections and other inspections or certifications needed for job with Mechanical Superintendent for Plumbing and HVAC. Expected Hours of Work: Full time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Travel: Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel 60 miles a day dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives. Long distance travel required occasionally, including overnight stays depending on the project. What You Will Bring to the Team: Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 6 years of plumbing experience or relevant work experience or proven established work history for the position. Preferred experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include: State of Texas Plumbing Journeyman License with Med Gas endorsement. Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1. Must have knowledge of drafting, blueprint reading, and mathematics. 2. Must be able to determine proper placement of piping without causing structural damage. 3. Must have the ability to direct workers using plans and verbal instructions. 4. Must complete yearly 6 hours of Continuing Education. 5. Work requires manual dexterity to use hand and power tools. 6.
