Responsibilities

  • Set up press and conveyor/stacker system for press runs.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of offset printing, including setting color, image registration, newsprint handling and delivery of final product within established waste parameters.
  • Demonstrate expertise with all phases of setup, run, maintenance and housekeeping duties on the presses and in the department.
  • Train apprentices to understand the Offset reproduction process and continuously work with them on the skills necessary to correctly and efficiently operate the printing presses and auxiliary department equipment.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety directives for the department, the plant and the Company. Strictly adhere to all Company policies and directives.
  • Consistently demonstrates reliability, punctuality, excellent communication skills and comprehension, good mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
  • The position requires schedule flexibility based on seniority, crew availability and operational demands as set forth by the company and includes night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
