About The Position

Skillforce is currently hiring Journeyman Pipefitters for federal construction projects located at Camp Lejeune, NC. Pipefitters will be responsible for threading, fitting, and installing carbon steel piping systems for commercial mechanical projects. Candidates should have strong layout and installation skills and be able to work safely and efficiently on an active construction site. Due to the location of this project all candidates must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings. Pay for this role is $44.35/hr and the anticipated work schedule is Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours a week.

Requirements

4+ years of experience as a commercial or industrial pipe fitter
Proficient in threading and installing carbon steel pipe
Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings
Must be able to pass a base background check for Camp Lejeune access
Reliable transportation and basic pipefitting tools
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, thread, and install carbon steel pipe for commercial HVAC and mechanical systems
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics
Assemble and install pipe supports, valves, and fittings
Work independently or with a team to ensure quality installations and meet project schedules
Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
