I2X Technologies is seeking a Journeyman NetOps Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Tampa, Florida. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • This position requires flexibility to support 24x7 Network Operations including 12 hour shifts as required.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
  • CCNA
  • Education: HS Diploma and 5+ years of experience
  • Clearance: Secret
  • Essential Requirements: US Citizenship is required.
  • Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical expertise for daily operations and maintenance of systems
  • Effectively troubleshooting, isolating, and resolving technical problems to minimize system downtime
  • Assisting with preparing and maintaining technical documentation, drawings and related artifacts
  • Support implementation of routine updates, approved upgrades and engineering or design changes
  • Help isolate and resolve technical issues and problems that impact multiple networks, systems, and devices.
  • Providing day to day operational routing and switching support with hands on experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot routing protocols and end-to-end network performance from the Local Area Network (LAN) through a Wide Area Network (WAN), to a Campus Area Network (CAN).
  • Willingness to cross train and support multiple technologies in an operational environment including SATCOM, Voice, VDI/Virtualization.
  • Support the system adherence to industry standards, DOD standards, DOD policies, DOD instructions, DOD directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices.
  • Utilize ticketing systems for detailed documentation of outages and network change activities.
  • Provide technical problem resolution for a wide range of network infrastructure problems or anomalies.
