Position Purpose: Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to include engines, motors, tools, parts (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.), plumbing, conveyor systems, etc. to ensure optimum performance of machines and associated equipment. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Journeyman Millwright/Industrial Mechanic Performs the following duties: Numeracy; take accurate measurements using precision instruments (eg. dial indicator ,micrometer) Blueprint reading; have the ability to work from Prints and schematics Crane certification and hoist operations, including rigging. Aerial Lift Certification and other elevated work (Fall protection) Sprinkler and fire protection system repair and maintenance Hot work; Welding Certification (Oxy acetylene/Plasma Cutting) Pipefitting Insulation work Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair Pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair Refractory installation and repair Steel and building erection Fabrication Conveyor maintenance and repair (eg. Drag, screw, roller, elevators) Vibration analysis Fan balancing Laser alignment Thermography Scaffolding Certification; Scaffolding assembly and inspection Pump repair, rebuilding and installation Repair and/or replace functional parts of control instruments and mechanical devices and interpret instructions and diagrams in correcting existing problems. Follows all procedures Notifies supervisor of needed parts and machinery. Maintain appropriate records on completed work performed using the CMMS system, communicating all findings to the immediate supervisor. All candidates are subject to a 90 day probationary period.
