About The Position

The Automotive Technician position at UPS involves maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles, including delivery vehicles and heavy-duty tractors. The role requires troubleshooting and repairing various systems, ensuring compliance with D.O.T requirements, and working flexible shifts. Technicians will utilize their mechanical skills and hand tools to perform maintenance on vehicles powered by different fuel types, including diesel and alternative technologies.

Requirements

• Must have an active driver's license issued by the state.
• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Possess a full complement of personal hand tools.
• Dependable with the ability to report to work regularly and complete scheduled workdays.

Nice To Haves

• Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers.
• Meet D.O.T requirements as per job assignment.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing as needed throughout the workday.
• Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles.
• Use power and pneumatic tools effectively.
