About The Position

Premier Service is a family-owned landscape construction and maintenance company proudly serving the Chicagoland area since the late 1980s. We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Diesel Mechanic to join our growing in-house shop and support our expanding fleet.

Position Summary
This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure safe operation and minimal downtime for our crews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mechanic experience
• Journeyman-level mechanic
• Ability to pass background and MVR checks
• No DUI or drug convictions within the last 5 years
• Must provide basic hand tools
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification preferred
• CDL-A preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative services
• Complete repair orders and accurately document all work performed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
