As a Journeyman Mason, you are expected to live these values in the field. What You’ll Do This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and essential to jobsite success. You’ll work closely with the Foreman and crew to ensure every pour meets Alpha’s standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

3+ years of masonry experience
Journeyman-level expertise in mixing, pouring, finishing, and concrete selection.
Strong working knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs and work on, under, and around equipment.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and work on your feet for extended periods.
A strong safety mindset and respect for trade best practices.
Reliability — you show up, follow through, and take pride in your reputation.

Nice To Haves

A valid driver’s license and clean driving record (preferred).

Responsibilities

Consistently follow all safety regulations and company policies — no shortcuts.
Participate in daily crew meetings focused on safety, quality, and production goals.
Examine, set, and align concrete forms to ensure proper construction, depth, and pitch.
Pour, spread, level, smooth, and finish concrete using hand and power tools (shovels, floats, rakes, trowels, screeds, vibrators, brooms).
Form expansion joints and edges using jointers, straightedges, and edging tools.
Apply sealants, waterproofing, and hardening agents as required.
Perform advanced finishing techniques including stamping, staining, and coloring.
Coordinate with truck drivers and other masons during pours to maintain quality and flow.
Support and help guide less experienced crew members by example.
Assist with additional construction tasks as assigned by the Foreman.
