Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Electrician License.
• Three years' experience working on industrial equipment or metal fabrication.
• Ability to obtain and retain a forklift operator's license.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and government background check.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Availability to work any shift, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble.
• Dismantle or partly dismantle machines and perform repairs using hand tools.
• Replace broken or defective parts and order production of replacement parts as needed.
• Reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments for operation.
• Communicate with equipment operators to ascertain problems and determine causes of breakdowns.
• Test faulty equipment and apply knowledge to diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings to guide work assignments.
• Install and test electrical lines and circuits in military shelters and vans.
• Participate as a team member in the repair and installation of equipment.
