About The Position

Crawford Electric Cooperative is seeking a fully qualified journeyman to join our team serving member-owners throughout our service territory. This position offers the opportunity to work in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment while supporting reliable electric service to our communities. A successful candidate will construct, maintain and operate overhead and underground distribution lines, line devices, and related equipment. This role requires consistent demonstration of quality workmanship, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety standards to ensure the reliability of the distribution system. This position is subject to on-call response availability and residency within 40 minutes normal travel time to our Bourbon, MO, office. Electric co-op experience preferred but not required. Qualified applicants will possess documentation showing status as a journeyman lineworker, including completion of a formal apprenticeship program. Must demonstrate working knowledge of materials specifications and safe work practices governed by OSHA, the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). Must possess a CDL Class A driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Certifications in CPR/first-aid and pole-top/bucket-truck rescue, and ability to use basic computer skills are expected. Familiarity with distribution-level construction, maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred. Wage governed by contract with IBEW Local 2.

Requirements

  • Documentation showing status as a journeyman lineworker, including completion of a formal apprenticeship program.
