Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Journeyman Lineman (Trouble Work) to join our Capital Field Services crew. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. Relocation assistance may also be provided to the successful candidate. What does a Journeyman Lineman (Trouble Work) do for us? They work independently without supervision performing new construction, troubleshooting, and repairing work on overhead and underground distribution and transmission lines. They may connect and disconnect secondary and services, connect and disconnect meters, exchange, and read meters and/or perform collection activities. They are expected to demonstrate commitment to the safety of all Idaho Power Company (IPC) employees and our customers. They should be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat of harm to self, others, or property.
