About The Position

Xcel Energy is looking for one or more Journeyman Lineman to join our team at the Minot Service Center in Minot, North Dakota. This position involves performing all duties of the Lineman Classification, including work on overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems. The ideal candidate will have a high-level commitment to safety, provide quality customer service, be self-motivated, and possess a positive attitude. The base rate of pay for this position is $60.31 per hour according to the 'Exhibit A' wage scale.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must hold a Journeyman Lineman Certificate.
• Possess a state issued Journeyman certificate and pass a company skills assessment for a Journeyman position.
• Meet driver qualification requirements, including possession of a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License.
• Physically capable of performing all aspects of electric overhead and underground distribution, construction, operations, and maintenance work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Qualified to be a 5th Step Apprentice Lineman or higher.
• Self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.
• Demonstrated commitment to work safely and productively.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of the Lineman Classification.
• Work on overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems.
• Participate in after-hours emergency call-outs.
