We’re looking for experienced Journeyman Lineworkers to train the next generation in Norfolk, VA. Position Purpose The Electrical Lineworker program prepares students for entry-level roles in the utility industry through focused safety training, technical instruction, and hands-on fieldwork. Students learn essential skills in tool use, ladder and scaffold safety, electrical fundamentals, grounding, circuit analysis, and the proper use of PPE. Training includes climbing and working on utility poles, inspecting climbing gear, performing pole-top rescues, and completing CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen certification. Students also gain experience with aerial framing, pole setting, rigging, trenching, and operating equipment such as bucket trucks and digger derricks. Graduates leave with the practical skills and confidence needed to safely support electrical distribution construction and maintenance and to advance into further technical training or apprenticeships.
