About The Position
Laborers' Local 561 is seeking skilled Journeyman Laborers with a strong background in commercial and industrial construction. The ideal candidates will possess expertise in various construction skills, including concrete placement and finishing, pipelaying, asphalt screed operation, and solar farm construction. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $26 and provides opportunities for advancement within the company. The role requires a commitment to high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. As a Journeyman Laborer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality concrete work, which includes cutting, pouring, and grading. You will also assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites, load and unload materials and equipment, and operate hand tools and power tools as needed. Basic construction tasks such as digging trenches or pouring concrete will also be part of your responsibilities. The ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment is essential for success in this role. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, as well as potential future drug screenings. A background check will also be required. The position is available for those who have demonstrated experience as a journeyman, particularly with significant expertise in concrete work and grading.
