About The Position

The position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and equipment, adhering to the National Electrical Code and other applicable standards. Requirements

  • Current Licensed Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician certification.
  • Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
  • Experience with PLC/HMI/Controls programming languages.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a meat packing plant environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
  • Knowledge of plant digital business technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safe work habits and comply with company safety requirements.
  • Work with industrial electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Enforce compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and OSHA/MSHA safety standards.
  • Understand continuous and batch process control strategies.
  • Configure and program control systems including PLC and HMI systems.
  • Utilize automation, electrical, and instrumentation experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
  • Design and implement plant digital business technologies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints effectively.
  • Possess expertise in trade-related materials, components, equipment, and installation methods.
  • Safely operate two-handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters and hammer drills.
  • Care for materials, tools, and equipment properly.
  • Work in a meat packing plant environment.
  • Represent E&T Electric, LLC professionally at all times.
  • Communicate effectively and solve problems efficiently.
  • Be on-call when necessary.
  • Perform night/weekend work as required.
  • Travel out of town and stay overnight as needed.
  • Teach, train, and guide electrical apprentices.
  • Show up to work on time and consistently.
