Barbaricum is seeking a Journeyman Full Stack Application Developer to support the USSOCOM J6 Budget Tool. This role will design, develop, test, and sustain enterprise-level applications that drive high availability, reliability, and performance. The developer will work as part of a cross-functional team supporting mission-critical financial systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, USSOCOM requirements, and cybersecurity policies. Candidates must bring demonstrated expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with proficiency in Angular, .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Windows Services.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain application features supporting the USSOCOM J6 Budget Tool
  • Implement responsive front-end interfaces using Angular
  • Develop back-end services and APIs with .NET and C#
  • Design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures
  • Develop and sustain Windows Services for workflow automation and integration
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Ensure all applications adhere to DoD cybersecurity and secure coding standards
  • Support lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, design documentation, deployment, and sustainment
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to meet mission requirements
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 3–7 years of experience as an application developer
  • Demonstrated expertise with Angular (front-end development)
  • .NET and C# (back-end development)
  • SQL Server (database design and optimization)
  • Windows Services (design and sustainment)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Experience supporting USSOCOM or DoD financial systems
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services
  • Familiarity with PowerApps/O365 environments
  • Experience working within DISA STIGs, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
