About The Position

At Advanced Electric Systems, we looking for skilled, Journeyman Fiber Technicians to join our team and contribute to critical communication projects across North America. In this hands‑on field role, you’ll install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic systems in a variety of environments while upholding the highest standards of safety, precision, and craftsmanship.
We are actively hiring in Heber City, Utah and Austin, Texas, expanding our team to support growing regional demand.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing
• Strong understanding of fiber types, color codes, and industry standards
• Ability to work in fast‑paced field environments, including underground and aerial settings
• Willingness to travel frequently for project work
• Proven problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and high‑quality workmanship
• Experience mentoring junior technicians (preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with GIS tools and digital tracking platforms (a bonus)
