About The Position

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Journeyman Engineer to support the H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopters Program Office (PMA 299) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will be providing Class Desk support with responsibilities involving coordination of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) efforts with Saudi Arabia. The candidate will provide technical leadership to identify, diagnose and resolve complex engineering issues that can be complex and require a comprehensive understanding of H-60 aircraft systems and subsystems. The candidate will coordinate engineering support with NAVAIR’s engineering divisions, external field engineering facilities and test sites. The candidate will ensure that engineering resources are applied to issues in a timely and effective manner to ensure effective program execution. The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to: Performs tasks with little or no guidance or leads the execution of complex tasks. Has demonstrated knowledge in the area of engineering expertise. Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan and design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military aircraft and weapons systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military aircraft and weapons systems, associated support systems.

Requirements

  • Technical or Scientific BS or BA from an accredited College or University
  • At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description is required. Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Demonstrated experience providing Class Desk support within a Navy program office environment.
  • Prior involvement with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
  • Strong understanding of program management, acquisition processes, and international defense cooperation.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders across U.S. Navy, partners, and industry to ensure program milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Must have experience preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, specifications, and technical risk assessments for acoustics or sensor systems.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
