About The Position

W-Industries is an energy service company that specializes in Automation Solutions, I&E Construction Services, Power Generation and Packaged Equipment for the Energy and Industrial markets. Our expertise encompasses the full spectrum of system technologies from pneumatic - hydraulic control systems to state-of-the-art programmable solutions to chemical injection systems, and everything in-between. As a Journeyman Electrician you will plan layouts, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment for commercial buildings.

Requirements

Have the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Be familiar with electrical tools, wire types, sizing and wire connector types.
Work well with others and be able to work alone on tasks that require only one person.
Understand how to read and translate the information found within all schematic wiring P&ID’s process diagrams and experience with applicable codes and standards
Proven organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proven problem solver, results focused, self-motivated.
Ability to work at heights.
Must be able to work under pressure.
1-3 years of experience within the Industrial Field.
High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience in energy, industrial, or construction environments highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment.
Possess and maintain required personal tools at all times.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete their assigned tasks.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints and written instruction.
