This position offers a consistent, set schedule with a guaranteed 40 hours a week, paid training, and opportunities for overtime is available. Many development advancements can be offered as Crew Lead Positions, Class A Licensing, and testing from Journeyman to Master positions. All equipment is provided on the job. Applicants must successfully pass a background check. Please note that individuals with certain convictions may not qualify for this position due to the nature of the job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this role. Requirements

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.
• Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment).
• Experienced in and/or knowledgeable of traffic monitoring and control systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to operate and perform work in a bucket truck.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems used in the electrical trade.
• High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical components up to and including 480 VAC 3-phase systems.
• Experience utilizing electrical schematics, diagrams, and specifications
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical systems
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical wiring system and components in accordance with the provisions of the National Electrical Code and Industry Standards.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures to identify equipment and/or systems repair.
• Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for making decisions.
• Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance actions.
• Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely; assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatuses; make rough sketches; estimate cost, time, and materials of electrical work.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, isolate, and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments.
• Maintain, test, and repair electrical equipment for safety and efficiency; plan the layout and wiring of new or existing installations.
• Fabricate electrical parts; inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements, and compliance with applicable exterior and interior safety codes and regulations.
• Inspect related work performed by contractors; estimate cost, time, and materials for electrical projects; participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop.
• Clean, maintain, and service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical load centers and distribution systems.
• Analyze electrical plant operational characteristics and make recommendations to correct deficiencies and respond safely and appropriately to emergencies.
