VIKOR is currently looking to add to its team of dedicated individuals with a full-time Journeyman Electrician position in our Sioux Falls location. We’re looking for a qualified individual to specialize in power and equipment installation on solar energy sites throughout the Midwest and Mountain Region.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
  • Ability to travel for 90% of the year
  • Journeyman or lineman electrical licensed preferred
  • Ability to obtain a CDL
  • Able to pass drug test
  • Lifts at least 75 pounds
  • Works at various heights up to 300’ and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, towers, catwalks and all types of ladders.
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • No violent criminal convictions within the past 7 years
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no more than three points in the past 3 years)
  • Willing and able to travel year-round and work in all weather conditions
  • Proof of current Journeyman Electrician certification
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a crew of 3 solar technicians on commercial solar installations (50kW+).
  • Install and supervise AC/DC electrical systems including inverters, combiners, disconnects, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Perform conduit installation, wire pulls, terminations, grounding, and utility interconnections.
  • Oversee installation of ground-mount racking systems, piers/helical piles, and structural components.
  • Interpret one-lines and construction drawings; ensure NEC and local code compliance.
  • Serve as the licensed electrical authority on site and coordinate inspections.
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain jobsite organization and productivity.
  • Oversee system testing, commissioning, and quality control documentation.
