About The Position

Temp Journeyman Electrician – Job Description Provide skilled electrical expertise and guidance to crew members across all phases of construction Coordinate daily work activities and schedules with the Foreman to meet project deadlines Plan layout, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes Inspect electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with company standards and local electrical codes Install grounding systems and connect power cables to equipment Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders to execute assigned tasks accurately Test electrical systems and ensure circuit continuity using appropriate testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, ohmmeters) to verify safety and functionality Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, identifying root causes and performing necessary repairs Review materials for quality and accuracy prior to installation Collaborate with supervisors and team members to coordinate work activities and resolve issues Ensure proper ordering, tracking, and storage of materials and equipment Manage the transfer of tools, equipment, and materials between job sites Safely operate hand tools, power tools, company vehicles, forklifts, and aerial lifts (with proper certification) Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and digging trenches for conduit installation Maintain adherence to production schedules and project timelines Monitor crew compliance with safety procedures and report any violations immediately Provide leadership, training, and support to team members to enhance performance and skill development Communicate effectively with management regarding progress, challenges, and solutions Work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet project requirements (compensated in accordance with FLSA guidelines) Perform additional duties as assigned
