About The Position

As a CBRE Journeyman Electrician, you will be critical to maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our healthcare facility in Fort Worth, TX. You will be responsible for performing essential electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, ensuring a high standard of service for our patients and staff. An experienced team member will provide comprehensive training and support during the initial onboarding period. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Perform timely and accurate completion of assigned work orders, prioritizing tasks to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
  • Conduct expert electrical troubleshooting and repair on a wide range of building systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety codes and regulations.
  • Execute monthly preventative maintenance on electrical systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Interact professionally and effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors, addressing electrical concerns with a client-focused approach.
  • Self-perform various electrical work orders, demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Respond to and resolve electrical work orders, which are among the most frequent types of maintenance requests received.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
