About The Position

Shermco Systems Integration is seeking a Journeyman Electrician, which will be responsible for installation, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment, as well as occasional leadership within a team of other electricians. This position will involve 75% travel.

Requirements

Journeyman Electrician license.
4+ years industrial electrical field experience; power and control systems experience preferred
Ability to work safely, and an eagerness to contribute to a safety-focused team.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Willingness to learn and be hands-on, working in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians.
Self-motivated individual, ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools, ladders, manlifts, etc.
Must be flexible and willing to work out-of-town with regular overnight travel
Strong preference for individuals who are able and willing to demonstrate their personal commitment to Safety.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
All offers are conditioned on acceptable results from a background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Must have a valid driver’s license and currently have (and be able to maintain) a good driving record.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer-sponsored visa (work permit).
Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and understand installation details, layout drawings and other drawings & documents typically associated with construction packages.
Complete assigned tasks in accordance with construction project specifications.
Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and, SCADA equipment
Mechanical and Electrical installation of control panels and instrumentation.
Rigid, EMT, PVC coated rigid conduit.
Service, feeders, and branch circuits.
Controls, fiber, and network cabling.
Stainless tubing and instrumentation.
Service equipment, MCC, panelboards
Field wiring of control panels and instrumentation
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on power, instrumentation, and control systems.
Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting of power and control systems.
Coordinate repair, testing, and installation of power and control systems
Establish/Maintain behaviors that demonstrate Safety as a Personal Core Value.
Ensure compliance with Company policies and safety requirements and protocols.
