About the position

Watson Security is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician with an E-06 Washington state license to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our security systems division, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical components within security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including security systems, access control systems, and camera surveillance systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
  • Run and terminate low voltage cables.
  • Configure and program security and access control systems, including keypads, card readers, and biometric devices.
  • Install and align cameras, ensuring optimal coverage and video quality.
  • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, coordinators, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service reports.
  • Provide customer training and support on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid E-06 Washington state electrical license is required.
  • Proven experience in installing and maintaining low voltage systems, including security, access control, and camera systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The position requires a valid driver’s license.
  • OSHA10 Certification (certification can be received after hire).
