About The Position

The Journeyman Craftsman at Renown Health is responsible for a variety of installation and repair tasks within the hospital environment, including wall vinyl, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, and VCT. This role requires a high level of skill in carpentry, painting, and other maintenance tasks, ensuring all work complies with established guidelines and building codes. The position may involve creating work plans, ordering materials, and working at different locations on short notice, while also addressing potential hazards in the healthcare setting.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years experience as a decorator or painter.
• Valid State of Nevada or California Driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards and applicable building codes.
• Competence at the Building Technician level of Plant Operations.
• Ability to apply ADA standards as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair wall vinyl, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, and VCT.
• Perform carpentry and painting tasks on walls, doors, and door frames.
• Complete work in accordance with established guidelines and building codes.
• Draw up work plans and material lists as needed.
• Order materials for repair and installation tasks.
• Work at various Renown locations on short notice as required.
• Identify and recommend repairs or replacements to the supervisor.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols in a healthcare environment.
