About The Position

Mako Industries is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Commercial Electrician to perform service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-focused, and experienced in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in occupied commercial facilities with minimal disruption.

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State of Texas)
  • Minimum 4–6 years of commercial electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with service work in occupied buildings (offices, retail, healthcare, schools, etc.)
  • Knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial electrical systems including lighting, power, controls, and low-voltage systems
  • Perform service calls independently and efficiently
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Install, repair, and maintain panels, circuits, switches, receptacles, ballasts, drivers, and motors
  • Identify code violations and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, local, and state electrical codes
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and supervisors
  • Complete service tickets, reports, and documentation accurately and timely
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition
  • Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations
