About The Position

United Trades of America is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Commercial Electrician to join our team in Hattiesburg, MS. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of electrical experience, specifically in large commercial and industrial electrical projects. Candidates must be local to the Hattiesburg area and demonstrate proficiency in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in large commercial and industrial electrical work.
Proven experience in electrical conduit installation, blueprint reading, motor controls, pulling conductors, and terminating conductors.
Proof of experience and hours worked in electrical construction.
Proof of apprenticeship training or other applicable trade-related training.
Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen and physical examination.
Ability to show hours worked and provide work history.
Must be local to the Hattiesburg, MS area (no travelers).

Responsibilities

Install and maintain electrical conduit systems and equipment in large commercial and industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Install, terminate, and test electrical conductors.
Install and troubleshoot motor controls and related equipment.
Ensure all electrical installations comply with local and national electrical codes.
Perform electrical work efficiently and safely, maintaining a high level of quality.
Work with a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
