The Journeyman role involves practicing best insulation practices, training insulation, plaster, sealer and spray helpers, and installing products according to collective bargaining agreements and/or project labor agreements. This includes understanding blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and applying various insulating, sealant, and foam materials. The position also requires daily schedule review, ensuring the truck is loaded with necessary products, tools, and equipment, completing vehicle safety and job site inspections, safely unloading and staging materials, reporting safety, customer, or quality concerns, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • If operating a vehicle for Company purposes, a valid drivers’ license is required
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted to load and unload various products
  • Climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and stand to perform daily work and ladder climbing, as needed. This includes confined spaces and small areas

Responsibilities

  • practicing best insulation practices and training insulation, plaster, sealer and spray helpers
  • Install products as allowed by associated collective bargaining agreement and/or project labor agreement
  • Understand blueprints and sketches
  • Measure, shape, and cut materials to specified measurements
  • Insulate, spray, plaster, trowel, seal, cover, wrap, staple, glue and fit insulating/sealant/foam/materials
  • Review your daily work schedule and ensure truck is loaded with all product(s), tools and equipment for the day
  • Complete vehicle safety and job site inspections
  • Safely unload and stage material at job site
  • Report safety, customer or quality concerns
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned per the CBAs
